The Art of Personalization: How I Made My Artifact Uprising Wall Calendar Extra Special

Okay, let’s talk about one of my favorite things—printing my photos! There’s just something magical about seeing your work come to life outside of a screen. And when it comes to starting a new year right, nothing beats a fresh, custom calendar filled with your favorite memories. Enter Artifact Uprising’s Wall Calendar, aka my new obsession!

I’ve been a fan of their calendars for a while now (hello, sleek minimal design!), but this year, I went all out. I carefully picked some of my absolute favorite shots—mostly from my big girl camera —and created something that makes me smile every single day. And the best part? I get to keep and repurpose the photos later!

Why I’m Low-Key Obsessed with This Calendar

I’ve tried a ton of custom calendars over the years, but Artifact Uprising takes the cake. Here’s why I’m so in love:

  • Minimal & Chic – It’s clean, classy, and lets my photos do all the talking. No clutter here!

  • The Paper is Chef’s Kiss – Thick, matte, and luxurious—basically, it feels like fine art prints.

  • Tear-Away Prints = Genius – When the month is over, I don’t have to say goodbye. I just tear off the print and save it!

  • Eco-Friendly Bonus Points – Love that they’re all about sustainable printing. Feels good to support a brand with heart!

  • Refillable – The best part? You can buy a refill! I’ll be refilling mine for December 2025 - November 2026 so I can keep the beautiful design and just update the photos!

Picking My Photos (aka The Hardest Part Ever)

Narrowing down which images to include was not easy, but I had a system! I went for a mix of meaningful moments, dreamy aesthetics, and shots that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

January – Had to be a rice cooker—the Asian in me really said rice is life!

February – Yosemite’s Firefall—looks like fire falling, absolutely crazy!

March – Sheep in Iceland because, well, they are just too cute!

April – R and I, because some memories deserve to be printed big.

May – The Capitol Building in Sacramento at Capitol Park, soaking in those golden hour vibes.

June – A glowing sunset at Scripps Pier, La Jolla featuring a tiny silhouette of a surfer.

July – A breathtaking sunset from Boca Raton, FL, that I still can’t get over.

August – Waves crashing in the ocean while we were cruising in Iceland—pure magic!

September – Another Yosemite shot, featuring a rock looking so sexy against all that nature.

October – R and I as Scooby and Shaggy in our Halloween costumes (only iPhone picture, but totally worth it!).

November – White and orange pumpkins—because fall details make me happy.

But Wait—This Calendar Lives On!

Here’s why this isn’t just a ‘use and toss’ kind of calendar. The tear-away format means I get to repurpose my favorite photos in so many ways!

  • Frame ‘Em! – Some of these beauties are going straight into frames.

  • Gift Time! – Personal and meaningful? Yes, please!

  • Scrapbooking & Journaling Fun – A perfect way to keep memories alive.

It’s More Than a Calendar—It’s a Vibe

This calendar isn’t just about keeping track of the days—it’s about celebrating moments that matter. It’s a daily reminder to print my work, cherish my memories, and make my space feel like ME.

So, if you haven’t yet, I highly recommend making your own custom calendar. Whether you’re a photographer, a memory-hoarder, or just someone who loves pretty things, it’s a game-changer.

Now tell me—do you print your photos? How do you love to display them? Let’s chat!
