Tell me a little about yourself?
I am just another human following my why and figuring my how. My why is purpose driven toward a better future for everyone. My how is always a work in progress. I have been an environmental lawyer for a California state agency for over two years; prior to that I was winding around my career path trying to get here. I have two children who I knew I always wanted but did not know they could be this beautiful and perfect. In my free time, I try to read books that teach me new things or take me away to different worlds, go to parks with my kids, hike, and volunteer.
What's something you're passionate about?
Human rights. I have served on volunteer boards for over 15 years. I'm drawn to organizations fighting for human rights, equal rights, and environmental justice. Currently, I serve as the 2025 San Diego County Bar Association President; I enjoy serving in this role because connecting and elevating the legal community strengthens a profession that helps uphold and protect the constitution and rule of law.
If you could describe your personality in 3 words, what would they be?
Patient, Kind, Curious
What's a dream or goal you're currently working towards?
Raising kind humans
Who or what has been a big influence in your life, and why?
Dad because he raised me and my sister in a magical way. Somehow he did it all with an appearance of ease. Looking back, I can see how hard he worked more than when I was kid. I can see his kindness, patience, and humor in a different way than I saw when I was a child. I know I am my best parts in large part because of my Dad. I'm still working on being as healthy as he is and putting my life in order as much as he did (and I'm pretty sure I have more than he had to work with).
What's one accomplishment you're especially proud of?
Not giving up my desire and my efforts to be an environmental attorney even though it seemed like it would never really happen.
