Let’s dive into her story!
Can you share the story behind starting your business and what drives your mission?
I started Beyond Her Body because I saw the need for a space where women could feel seen, heard, and empowered in their wellness journeys. For me, fitness has always been about so much more than physical appearance, it’s about mental health, self-acceptance, and building a community that supports one another. My mission is to create a rejuvenating culture where women don’t just work out, they transform their lives by embracing their strength, and feeling serene, confident, and finding alignment every step of the way.
Who is your ideal client, and how do you aim to serve them?
My ideal clients are women, especially Latinas and women of color, who are struggling with confidence, self-acceptance, or feeling aligned in their health journeys. I serve them by offering not just fitness coaching but also emotional support, community, and tools to create a lifestyle of wellness. I want them to feel like family, knowing they’re not alone and that wellness is for everyone.
Tell me a little about yourself?
I’m Atalia Palomera, founder of Beyond Her Body. I’m a coach, motivator, and advocate for women’s wellness. What lights me up is seeing the transformation in women’s lives when they start to believe in themselves, embrace their unique journeys, and thrive beyond their perceived limits. My passion lies in creating meaningful connections and helping women unlock their truest potential.
What's something you're passionate about?
I’m deeply passionate about the connection between mental and physical health. Wellness, to me, goes far beyond fitness, it’s about healing, alignment, and finding peace within yourself. I’m also passionate about building communities where women uplift each other and grow together.
In addition, I’m committed to advocating for social justice, especially for immigrants, women of color, and underrepresented communities. Creating spaces where these women can feel empowered, valued, and supported is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in amplifying their voices and ensuring they have access to wellness and opportunities that have historically been out of reach.
If you could describe your personality in 3 words, what would they be?
Empathetic, resilient, and visionary.
What's a dream or goal you're currently working towards?
My current goal is to expand Beyond Her Body into a movement that redefines wellness in Sacramento and beyond. I want to host retreats, live activations, and events that make wellness accessible to all women, while fostering a community where they feel supported in every aspect of their journey.
One of my biggest dreams is to open a gym of my own, a space that feels like home for women of all backgrounds, especially immigrants and women of color. It will be a place where fitness, mental health, and community come together to create lasting transformation and empowerment. My vision is to make wellness inclusive, affordable, and truly life-changing.
Who or what has been a big influence in your life, and why?
The biggest influence in my life has been the women in my community, strong, resilient, and determined individuals who inspire me every day. Their stories of overcoming adversity, especially as immigrants and women of color, fuel my passion for creating spaces where they can thrive. My family has also been a profound influence, instilling in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. They’ve shown me the power of community and the importance of giving back, which drives my mission with Beyond Her Body.
What's one accomplishment you're especially proud of?
It was scary going out on my own, but I’m incredibly proud of launching Beyond Her Body and turning it into a movement that empowers women in their wellness journeys. Hosting our first event with 55 attendees at Wolfe Heights Winery was a huge milestone, it proved that women are craving connection, healing, and alignment. Another accomplishment I hold close to my heart is witnessing the incredible transformations in the women I coach, both mentally and physically, as they step into their power and embrace their confidence.
